Searching for Under Rs 15K Smartphones, you don’t get such good 5G phones. There are many phones that launch at Rs 20-30K. But under Rs 15K, there’s a lack of phones. To complete the gap, the Infinix Note 30 5G launched in India with 45W round fast charge, 16GB RAM & 256GB storage 108MP camera, and JBL-tuned speakers.
Infinix Note 30 5G Full Specs and Features
Infinix Note 30 5G Box Contents
Infinix Note 30 5G smartphone. It comes with a new chipset. we going to talk about that as well. It has an Infinix 45W charger, a USB Type A to Type C cable, and a humble SIM card tool. And you have the case which is not a TPU case but a hard case.
Usually, you get the scratch guard in Infinix phones in the box and then you have documentation with its written JBL tuned on the back. So much for Rs 15K.
Infinix Note 30 5G Design
It’s a nice-looking phone overall. The camera module is 25% of the entire back. It has three color options black, gold & blue colors. It has flat sides & it’s a hefty phone. It feels hefty in the hand.
It’s not that heavy despite being a big phone. Its weight is 198g. But it doesn’t feel heavy. The weight distribution is really good. The case fits snugly & it’s very nice. If the case comes in the box, then do put it on.
Infinix Note 30 5G Ports & Buttons
Ports & Buttons Below, there’s a speaker grill, USB Type C, 3.5mm jack, microphone, and sim tray on the left & speaker grill on the top. It’s written Sound by JBL. So it’s a JBL-tuned speaker & dual stereo speakers. On the right, there’s a volume rocker & a power on-off button with a physical fingerprint sensor.
Talking about the SIM card tray, there’s a dedicated SD card slot. You can put 2 nano sim cards on this side & 1 SD card. So not bad, there’s an expansion slot. So if you don’t have 256GB, then you can put in an extra SD card.
Infinix Note 30 5G Display
The display is a 6.78” FHD+, LTPS display with a 120Hz fast refresh rate & 240Hz touch sampling rate. So it’s quite good in terms of display. Brightness is 580 Nits. There’s an interesting thing, the Note 20 didn’t come with this. The Note 12 came with this, but it didn’t have many features that it has.
Infinix Note 30 5G Specifications
Specifications– It comes with Dimensity 6080 on this new processor. If I have to compare, then I’d say it’s an upgrade to Dimensity 700 or 800. Although we don’t know where the naming convention 6080 came from. It comes with 2 variants, the base variant is 4GB 128GB & the top variant is 8GB 256GB.
But there’s only a Rs 1000 difference between both. I don’t understand, you’re getting 4GB extra RAM & 128GB extra storage for Rs 1000 extra. The price is Rs 15,999 but with Axis Bank offers, it’s Rs 14,999. The effective price is Rs 15K. Similarly, if you buy the 4GB 128GB variant, you’ll get it for Rs 13,999.
RAM Type– It’s an LPDDR4X RAM type with UFS 2.2 storage. It has a 5000mAh battery & there are 2 interesting things to tell you. It has 45W charging & generally, it’s a standard under Rs 15K. But this one gives 45W, which is a good thing. And it charges from 0-75% in 30 minutes. So fast charging is very good.
It also supports wired reverse charging with 10W. It supports power delivery, so if you use a PD charger, it’ll be fast charging. But the adapter is not PD charging.
Infinix Note 30 5G Performance
Performance– On paper, Antutu scores are around 4.5-4.10 Lakhs, which is decent for a Rs 15K phone. Even in gaming, you can play COD Mobile on low-medium settings.
You should not have any problems, it’ll run smoothly. If you play games on high settings, you’ll see some frame drops. But play on medium settings & you’ll enjoy it. If you’re doing binge gaming, then when you charge & the battery is low, it supports bypass charging. Meaning, that when you keep it on charging, it’ll directly power the motherboard & won’t go through the battery.
So the battery won’t deplete. So bypass charging is generally a flagship feature in gaming phones.
Infinix Note 30 5G Connectivity
Infinix Note 30 5G supports 14 5G bands, which is great. You get all 5G bands, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC & it has super signal technology. Which reduces battery usage, so it becomes more efficient. You can say it is the best 5G phone under 15000.
Infinix Note 30 5G Sensors & OS
Sensors– It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor & face unlock.
OS– It’s a budget series phone, so bloatware is expected & they’re there. You can uninstall them, but bloatware is there. You get Android 13 out of the box & Infinix’s XOS 13. They said they’ll give 1 major update, Android 14 & 2 years of security updates.
Infinix Note 30 5G Multimedia
It’s a big phone with a big display & a big sound. You get JBL sound, Sound by JBL & we played it & it’s fun to play in multimedia. It would’ve been better with AMOLED, but the LTPS display is good. But the standout thing is the JBL sound, it’s loud & the quality is clear.
You’re going to enjoy it in multimedia. It has Widevine L1, so you can do HD streaming. It doesn’t have an HDR.
Infinix Note 30 5G Camera setup
It has a 108MP primary sensor and 2 sensors on the bottom. There’s a 2MP AI sensor & the 3rd one is also an AI sensor. You get a 16MP selfie sensor. In videography, you get 2K 30FPS on both the front & back and 1080p at 60FPS.
The 108MP sensor takes good photos in normal conditions. It has good features like film mode and dual view mode.
You can use the front & back cameras at the same time. It also has Super Night mode, for taking photos in low light. There’s an interesting feature, it has Sky Remapping. Meaning, if you’ve taken a photo & there’s sky behind the subject, you can remap it.
Not only that, but you can also take bokeh videos with the selfie sensor.
Infinix Note 30 5G Other Features
SAR value is within limits, and FM radio is available. The government has a rule that FM radio should be available on all phones with antennas. It has it, there’s no notification light. It has an IP53 certification, which is generally not available under Rs 15K.
But it supports Camera2API, so you can take good photos using Google Cam. This is what Infinix Note 30 is. As I said at the start of the video, it punches above its weight. There aren’t many phones under Rs 15K & it’s trying to fill that space. You get 8GB RAM & 256GB storage.
It has 8GB virtual RAM, which is good & 256GB storage is also very good. What really stands out is its audio. It has JBL-tuned dual speakers, which are really good. Performance-wise, it’s quite good. It has a 6080 SoC & performs quite well.
Cons– It doesn’t have many cons, but it has bloatware & XOS if you’re comfortable with it.
Other than that, hardware-wise it’s very good. Infinix generally launches such phones & Note 30 is no different.
